I'm sorry to pull you away Edea. I just wanted to talk to you about something - it won't take too much time.

[She has a sinking feeling in her stomach about this, but she'll gladly go with him to a more secluded area. K, she feels, is eminently intelligent - if this concerns what she thinks it does...]

[He nods and decides to get straight to the point, taking a pieced together newspaper picture of Edea holding some sort of water gun.]

I received this earlier today, some time after the bombing that killed Yuya. I'm not sure what to make of it however.

I thought so.

[Completely unsurprised. She'll give a small nod.]

...Was there anything else accompanying it?

Only a torn up picture of Levi from the paper. ...Pardon me if I'm incorrect, but you don't seem very surprised.

[Edea now looks irritated.]

You're not the only person who received those photos today. Aya made me bribe her for the information. I wish I'd waited.

[She gives a small shrug.]

You got them right after Yuya's death, right? The only conclusion we could come to... was that the Detonator was declaring their intentions.

[jingler]

Yes, I did. But I don't know who gave it to me -- I received it under my door after I went into Tiger #2 to take a break. When I opened the door I found no one around.

But what did you bribe Aya with exactly?

Any information I receive in the future is hers.

[She shrugs.]

I intend to keep my word, frustrating as that woman might be.

[A slight pause.]

I don't understand what it means... There's no connection between Levi and I. And declaring the person you intend to kill next seems... a bit stupid when you could do it at any time.

[jingler]

You are correct. It seems like a pointless action...but what if it was the other way around? What if this is the detonator's decision for the next person to give a key to?

Think about it - after what happened today, the detonator may find it risky to give out keys and be the only one who knows about it. So they send out a message: "this is the next person to be given a key."

[edealistical]

[That would be nice, actually.]

You'd think they'd have included a message to make it less cryptic, then.

...Well, this game is already quite insane as it is. I wouldn't put it pass whoever is conducting this game to do something like that.

[If they're thinking the same thing -- there is only one player here who can't send a written message.]

[Edea is just going to sit here and scream silently for a moment or two don't mind her.]

A-Ah... Well, it's... It's definitely better than being killed without notice... I've already given Aya my last words in case I should die soon.

[A slight pause as she 'hm's.]

The other possibility, of course, is that our... voiceless Detonator is indicating the two people they had an opportunity to give the key to already. But I can promise you that I never received something like that - or if I did, I didn't realize it.

...The fact that the photos were ripped so badly is a little concerning, too...

No, I don't believe you did receive one. Or that if you did you used it. [Of course he could be wrong, but Edea doesn't strike him as someone to anonymously kill a person for no visible reason.] But what do you find concerning about the ripped photos? I mean, if we're thinking about the same potential Detonator it makes sense.

The one Aya showed me was ripped to shreds like, er, it had been attacked somehow.

...I guess it could be possible that he was having a hard time putting it under the door in one piece.

Oh, I see! Actually the picture I just gave you was also torn to shreds. I pieced together the picture myself afterward -- the pieces were also fairly damp, as though it had been lightly touched by water.

Hm. Perhaps I should meet him instead? If he sent them to me, then maybe it's better if I approach. He could get an incorrect impression if you go - we don't exactly know what the intention of this picture is just yet.

That should be fine. ...But, um. I know this sounds ridiculous, but if we're entertaining the idea of Missile being the Detonator... He might have... another role, too.

This could possibly be... some sort of bizarre plot somehow we don't understand......

It might be better to be cautious, still, even if it is just... Missile. I'd like to talk to Levi first about this to see if he has any thoughts. If he is truly the Detective, then I'll defer to whatever he thinks is best.

Yes, I'll speak with Levi on the matter as well. But I think meeting with Missile is important, to at least confirm suspicions. This is turning into quite the twist of events.

[He sighs.]

Well I think if there's nothing else I should get going.

...I think I need some time for my brain to accept what we're proposing here.

I'm sure Levi's spoken to Aya already as well. How utterly bizarre this all is...
